Will callers know they're talking to an AI?
Hala introduces herself with your business name and behaves like a trained receptionist. We don't deceive callers — if asked directly whether she's human, she answers honestly that she's an AI assistant. In practice, most callers don't ask because the conversation feels natural.
Does Hala support Arabic?
Arabic is on the way. Our team is perfecting native GCC dialects — Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti, Qatari, Bahraini, and Omani — with native voice actors, and we'll announce it the moment it's ready. Today, Hala handles calls in fluent English, with four voice profiles you can preview before going live.
What if Hala can't answer or a caller gets frustrated?
Hala doesn't perform live call transfers today. If she can't help, a caller asks for a person, or the topic falls outside her scope, she reads out an alternate phone number for the caller to dial directly. True live handover to a human is on our roadmap.
How long does it take to go live?
Most businesses are answering real calls within 48 hours. Onboarding is: connect your booking system (or use our dashboard), choose a voice profile, set your hours and appointment types, and point your number to ARA. Our team is on a WhatsApp thread with you through the whole process.
Do I need to change my phone number?
Yes — we provision a dedicated GCC-local number for your business as part of onboarding. We don't currently support forwarding or porting your existing number; your new number is what callers will use to reach Hala.
Is there a free trial?
There's no self-serve free trial today. Email us at [email protected] and we'll send you demo numbers you can call to try Hala before subscribing.
What counts as an AI minute?
Every second a caller is on the line with Hala counts toward your monthly minute pool. You can check exactly how many minutes you've used any time in Settings → Billing. We don't yet send proactive usage alerts — once your pool runs out, new calls are declined until your next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan.
Where is my data stored?
Call recordings, transcripts, and booking data are stored in the EU (Frankfurt) by default. We don't currently operate a GCC-region data center.
Does Hala send WhatsApp confirmations and reminders?
WhatsApp confirmations and reminders are coming soon — our team is actively building this. Today, bookings are confirmed to the caller during the call itself and appear immediately in your dashboard.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Head to Settings → Billing and use "Manage Billing" to cancel through our billing portal — your plan runs to the end of the current billing period, no cancellation fees, no retention calls.
